Hypnotherapy can assist you to change your beliefs regarding food and being overweight. The only thing that makes losing weight a struggle for most people is the feeling of restriction, the feeling that you have got to give something up, the feeling that you have got to try hard.
What if there was a better way. What If I were to let you know that you could still eat the foods you want and become the size and shape that you want to be, would you do it, would you let go of the struggle, would you allow your body to find its own natural balance and shape. If the answer is yes then maybe hypnosis is for you.
Hypnosis can change your beliefs about food, change your relationship with food allowing you to eat the foods you want when your body requires the food, ( I will state that again), eating food when the body requires it. Most people eat foods due to emotional attachments whether they be good feelings or bad feelings. A lot of these emotional attachments can be created when you were younger here are some examples:
You are well behaved as a child and are given sweets, this creates a positive emotional state, a lot of people when they are older want to replicate that positive state so when they feel down or miserable eating the sweets to allow the positive emotional state to be replayed. It is like constantly chasing that good feeling. This can then create an addiction to food and can be a reason to overeat.
Some people may use food as a protective mechanism to hide a lack of confidence or low self esteem, the body can then create the need to overeat and create layers of fat around the body to cushion the fall.
Sometimes when people are younger they are forced to eat everything off the plate being told there are starving children in the world which can create a situation where the child learns to NOT recognise that FULL SIGNAL, and continually eats past that to prevent the feeling of GUILT.
The above are only examples and obviously everyone is unique and there is never any one answer.
Hypnosis has the ability to change outdated beliefs which are no longer serving you, this can allow YOU to change your relationship with food thereby allowing you to only then eat because you are hungry.
